Cleaning Products

Reduce all cleaning products by a minimum of 50% for all household and personal cleaning. Two tablespoons of low phosphate detergent added along with 1⁄4 cup normal laundry soap helps to remove ground-in dirt and stains; For dishes, 1 teaspoon of normal dishwashing detergent.

Fixtures, Sinks and Tubs

Remove most old hard water film, streaks, spots and stains by using a mild acid like white vinegar. If necessary, use Lime-Away or CLR. Soak hardness build-up with solution and let stand 15-20 minutes. Using rubber gloves and a nylon brush, scrub away hardness film and stains. Rinse freely.

Washing Machine

To clean washing machine of old soap scum and scale build-up, fill machine on hot cycle, add one gallon distilled vinegar and run through normal cycle. Repeat if necessary. Your Culligan soft water will keep it much cleaner from now on.

Removing Ring Around The Collar

Soak soiled collar in sudsy, warm Culligan soft water for 5-10 minutes. Scrub out with nylon net instead of scrub brush – works every time.

To Clean Inside Dishwasher

Remove dark iron and manganese stains by filling empty dishwasher with 2 cups of a citrus powdered drink and run through cycle.

Window Cleaning

Mix 1 part ammonia to 1 part white vinegar and 10 parts Culligan reverse osmosis drinking water. Pour into squeeze bottle for lots of different glass cleaning uses.

Bring Back Whites in Cottons

Soak discolored garments for 30 minutes in a solution of 1 gallon hot Culligan soft water; 1⁄4 cup automatic dishwasher soap and 3 tablespoons chlorine bleach (make sure ingredients are mixed well prior to putting clothes in mixture). Do not stir clothes during soak time. Wash in machine with 2 tablespoons laundry soap and add 1⁄2 cup vinegar on rinse cycle. Whites will be whiter than white!
